About the Author
R. Madhumathi is an English literature scholar and devoted Christian author whose writings illuminate the path of faith, hope, and divine love. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in English Literature at Cardamom Planters' Association College, Bodinayakanur, Theni, Tamil Nadu. She is the daughter of Late Mr. R. Ramadass and Late Mrs. R. Manimegala Devi. Her spiritual journey took a transformative turn in 2020 when she accepted Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour following a life-changing incident. This profound experience became the cornerstone of her literary voice, inspiring her to write poetry that praises the Lord and short stories that reflect on social issues often normalized or overlooked by society. Madhumathi has authored four published books: "This Cross is for You", a powerful reflection on the significance of the Cross; "My Contemplations", a collection of spiritual musings; "The Banquet of the Lord", exploring the sacred mystery of Holy Communion; and "Amity of the Two Poles", a thoughtful exploration of balance in the spiritual journey. She has also been a contributor to several anthologies including "Unboxing Happiness", "Screaming Emotions with Silent Pen", and "Melody of the Ardour". Her writing is characterized by its gentle yet profound approach to Christian spirituality, combined with a keen awareness of social issues. She has a unique gift for crafting poems that draw readers closer to God, as well as short stories and novelettes that shed light on serious social problems that society has normalized or pays less attention to. In her literary journey, Madhumathi acknowledges three profound influences: First, Jesus Christ, who introduced her to a new version of herself and whose teachings induced her to grow closer to Him through her poetry. Second, her father Mr. R. Ramadass, who always encouraged her to voice her opinions and discuss issues freely — a practice that helped her express her thoughts with confidence. Third, Professor Nivethika, who transformed her understanding of literature from mere reading to perceiving the human emotions and life experiences that every literary work carries. Through Dead of Writes Publication, Madhumathi continues to share her faith, insights, and social consciousness with readers, creating literature that speaks to both the soul and society.
